Tasting notes
The 2025 Coufran has an appealing nose with tertiary black fruit, touches of tobacco and cedar emerging with time. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins, supple but with well-judged acidity and a much denser, grippier finish than the previous vintage. This is a fine upstanding Coufran.

Ripe red and black fruits, spicy oak, graphite, and violet notes all emerge from the 2025 Château Coufran, a charming, incredibly successful Haut-Médoc. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with a nicely balanced, layered mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and nicely integrated acidity. It brings good complexity and depth.
The 2025 Coufran is a potent, burly Haut-Médoc. It offers plenty of depth, but it also needs more finesse in its contours and greater overall complexity, both of which appear within reach.
