The 2025 Beauregard was cropped at just 23 hl/ha between September 2 and 19, with 40% matured in new oak for a planned 16 to 18 months, 20% in 500-litre casks. It has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet, with pressed rose petals infusing the red berry fruit, just a hint of potpourri in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, nicely focused, but it needs a little more flesh and rondeur in the second half. A little peppery towards the finish, hopefully this will just fill out during its barrel maturation. I was expecting a bit more here.

A classic, balanced Pomerol, the 2025 Clos Beauregard reveals lots of red and black fruits, lead pencil, and chocolaty richness and depth on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins and a great finish. I think it will clearly be outstanding.

The 2025 Beauregard is quite promising, with plenty of substance and power. Dark-toned fruit, spice, new leather, mocha, chocolate and lavender open first. Bright acids and beams of supporting tannin convey energy and a good bit of structure. This is a superb, refined Beauregard with a bright future.
