Medium red. Aromas of sour cherry, cassis and menthol. Sweet and lush but firm-edged, with intriguing flavors of gunflint and minerals. Solid Vosne with lovely texture and weight. Finishes long and firm, with just a touch of dryness.

Bright red-ruby. Superripe aromas of cassis, violet and dark chocolate. A step up in sweetness and creaminess from the preceding premier crus from Vosne-Romanee, but then this wine had benefitted from a racking. Violet and mineral notes. Finishes long and firmly tannic, but the tannins are ripe and nicely buffered by the wine's material.
