2022 Carlisle Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard

The 2022 Zinfandel Bedrock Vineyard comes from two different blocks of this vineyard and includes the addition of 5% various red grapes including Petite Sirah, Carignan, Alicante Bouschet, and Mourvèdre. In the glass, it pours a youthful bright magenta with a purple hue and offers a fruity and spicy bouquet with just the right balance. Lifted notes of raspberry liqueur, peppery spice, sage, and crushed flowers are followed by a medium-bodied red that fills the palate with a refined and supple feel, good freshness that holds it together, and a hint of cocoa. It’s going to lean into its savory undertones with age, but it’s really a beauty now. Drink 2024-2034.
