Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,676 g. 65% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay. Aged 9 months in barrel and 74 months on lees in bottle. 5 g/l dosage. Disgorged July 2025. Deep gold with superfine bubbles. Savoury, umami nose with toasted nori, vanilla salt and hazelnut-praline flakes. The acidity is much softer and broader than the Perpetual Reserve NV.01 and has married itself to the mid palate. Lengthy. (SCJ)

Based on 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay and aged nine months in barrel with 74 months on the lees before being disgorged in July, the 2018 Brut displays a slightly deeper medium gold hue, no doubt due to its extended lees aging. It brings a richer, Krug-esque perfume of ripe stone fruits, white flowers, toasted brioche, and smoke. It's brilliant on the palate as well, with medium-bodied richness, a pure, layered mouthfeel, building richness, and a great finish. It's another brilliant sparkler from this team that you can put side by side with a great Champagne. There are roughly 120 cases produced. Drink 2025-2032.
The 2018 Brut is positively stellar. Bright, punchy and super expressive, the 2018 is so impressive right out of the gate. Lemon confit, white flowers, brioche and baked apple tart open first. Pinot textures, aromas and flavors all build through the mid-palate and into the finish with a bit of time in the glass.
