Incredible stuff, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvée (aged 19 months in 70% new French oak) offers up loads of cassis, graphite, crushed stone, and lead pencil shaving-like aromatics in a medium to full-bodied, pure, focused, oh, so layered, elegant package. It has some upfront charm yet the balance and purity to evolve gracefully for 15-20 years. Drink 2025-2045.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvée is every bit as compelling as it was when I tasted it from barrel earlier in the year. Dark and brooding, the 2023 screams with Cabernet Sauvignon character. Blackberry, new leather, incense, licorice and dried herbs literally stain the palate. A wine of uncommon depth and textural persistence, the Estate Cuvée is superb in 2023.

A wine of dynamic energy and resonance, the 2023 is shaping up to be a jewel. There is so much in the glass, so much to love. Aromatic and vibrant, with tons of energy, this is such an exciting wine. In the world of high-end Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, it should be an outrageous value.
