Here's a beautiful wine that will appeal to those who love the lighter and crisper side of Alto Adige winemaking. The Cantina Terlano 2022 Alto Adige Terlano Riserva Nova Domus is a blend of 70% Pinot Bianco, 25% Chardonnay and 5% Sauvignon Blanc from different sites and varying elevations. You get Alpine brightness in this wine, with stone fruit, quince, spice and saffron. Brisk acidity rides over a silky finish. This is a release of 40,000 bottles.

The 2022 Terlaner Cuvee Riserva Nova Domus opens with a minty freshness as nuances of split pine mix with chamomile, freshly sliced apples and pears. It is elegant in feel, with nearly oily textures supported by fresh acidity and a pure blend of white pit fruits, citrus and spice. The Nova Domus tapers off supremely balanced and youthfully poised, leaving a subtle spike of ginger that pinches at the cheeks.
70% Pinot Bianco, 25% Chardonnay and 5% Sauvignon Blanc aged for 18 months in large oak casks. A fantastic, minerally fruit nose with complex oak hints. Sappy and a little racy and great purity of fruit on the palate. Fine, long citric finish, and with hints of minerally, salty notes. Definitely needs more time. (WS)
