Tasting notes
Offering cassis, scorched oak, bouquet garni, sappy herbs, and floral notes, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Rarefied Air is incredibly complex and full-bodied with a pure, layered, seamless mouthfeel. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has classic 2023 purity, finesse, and elegance, no hard edges, plenty of structure, and a great finish. The vineyard sources are never released here, but this is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon raised mostly (all?) in new barrels. It will keep for at least 30 years. Drink 2025-2055.

Owner-winemaker Mike Smith won't disclose the fruit sourcing behind Myriad's 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Rarefied Air, a barrel selection. This stunning wine combines dark cherries and red raspberries on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is supple and silky, almost airy in feel, despite boasting considerable concentration. Long and intense on the finish, it's another top-notch effort, capable of drinking well for at least two decades.
