Tasting notes
The 2023 Chardonnay Park Avenue is a classy, polished wine. Today, the wine's brightness and overall energy stand out most. Crushed rocks, slate, mint, white pepper, chalk and mint all race out of the glass. This really sizzles with tension and minerality. The 2023 is an especially fine, layered Park Avenue. Memorable.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Park Avenue Estate is a new wine in this range. It emerges from a parcel in Sebastopol planted with Calera cuttings from UV. Black cherry, leather, incense and graphite open first, followed by lifted floral and savory notes that add character. The Park Avenue doesn't have the layers of the other Pinots, but it comes very close. This is a seriously impressive debut. (AG)

The Aubert wines, particularly the Chardonnay, have a cult following – beloved for their rich, hedonistic style. Created by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 1999, the property makes some of California’s most sought-after Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all from single vineyards across Sonoma.
