Tasting notes
The 2022 Holy Roller wafts up with a captivating bouquet of geraniums, violets, pine shavings and hints of blood orange. It is seamlessly silky in character, with depths of ripe red and blue fruit swirling across the palate as structural components form toward the close. Long and potent, it leaves sweet tannins that frame the experience well as a tart twang of blackberry and spice fades slowly.

Made from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Sangiovese, the 2022 Holy Roller Vineyard from a vineyard of the same name is perfumed and quite soft in texture. High-toned and spiced, the tannins and oak are well-integrated and the wine full-bodied and earthy, with a lasting hint of salinity. Dark chocolate, tobacco, and black tea ride a depth of rich blackberry and smoked oak, able to age another 20-30 years.
