From an early-maturing site, Arkenstone's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Heimark Vineyard was picked September 3 - 5, prior to the worst of the post-Labor Day heat. There's some barrel char and strong oak influence on the nose of this plummy, dark-fruited wine, which also leans toward black cherries. It's full-bodied and lush, soft and already approachable. A sexy, plush effort, it does show a touch of warmth on the softly dusty finish.

Coming from Heimark Vineyard and aged 22 months in 75% new French oak, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Heimark Vineyard has more red and blue fruits, leather, sappy herbs, floral incense, and cedar nuances. Medium to full-bodied, fresh, and elegant, it’s beautifully textured, balanced, and vibrant, with ripe tannins and an impressive, layered finish.
