A bright straw/yellow hue, the 2022 Chardonnay Estates is elegant with notes of honeyed lemon, ginger, poached apples, and subtle baking spice. It’s a medium-bodied Chardonnay, with a light, rounded, and floral fee as well as hints of vanilla, refreshing acidity, and an elegant finish. It’s a very appealing white from the start and should show its best over the next 5-6 years.
Fruit from X Novo and X Omni. Medium lemon. Rich, with a pithy mandarin-oil aroma and slight toast. Deeply mineral and flavourful on the palate, with elevated, mouth-watering acidity and a light phenolic texture that serves to deepen the flavour and lengthen the finish. (SCJ)
The 2022 Chardonnay combines candied lemon, minty herbs and vivid nectarine. The nose is round and pliant, offering ripe orchard fruits and mineral tones energized by vibrant acidity. Nuances of citrus add tension. The finish is steely, medium in length, clean and crisp.
