Score 88-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2018
(Bouchard farms two plots for the owner and vinifies these grapes): Bright medium red. Tight, subtly aromatic scents of black cherry, licorice, violet and minerals. Juicy, spicy and fine-grained, with its dark fruit and dark chocolate flavors showing a smooth texture and noteworthy precision. A more delicate style than the Chambolle-Musigny, this village wine finishes with dusty tannins and very good cut and length.
