Score 97/100 · Drink 2026-2036, Erin Larkin, Wine Advocate, Mar 2026

The 2024 Pinot Noir is supple, silky and powerful. The season was warm, and the wines I have tasted so far—with particular reference to the Pinot Noirs, although not exclusively—have been excellent. This is fresh and vibrant, with cranberry, black cherry, raspberry and field strawberry, alongside licorice and scratched blood orange. This is impressive, to say the least. It has shades of the 2023 density of fruit, but everything is ratcheted up a notch—and for the good too. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Full screwcapped bottle 1,358 g. Winemaker Adam Wadewitz thinks 2024 is one of their best Pinots, because of the intensity thanks to a reduced crop – and no stress thanks to well-timed rain. Mid garnet. Intensely spicy nose. High-toned like the 2024 Chardonnay. Sweet and smooth. Very nice texture; ripe tannins on the end but only just perceptible. Sweeter than perfection. Just enough acidity and lots of fruit with already good accessibility. Lip-smacking. Still unformed. (JR)
