Another gem in the lineup, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Arrowhead Vineyard comes from 19-year-old vines and, like the other single vineyards here, was raised in 60% new French oak. This red and black-fruited, smoky, tobacco, lead pencil, and mineral-laced effort is medium to full-bodied, with a layered, structured mouthfeel, beautiful purity of fruit, building tannins, and outstanding length. I love its overall balance, and it shows the focused, pure, age-worthy style of the vintage nicely. It needs just 3-4 years of bottle age and will keep for 15 years at a minimum.
