Score 93/100 · Drink 2024-2036, Jeb Dunnuck, Apr 2025
The 2022 La Ponce offers more concentration, showcasing red, blue, and black fruits, pepper, sweet garrigue, and cherry jam. Medium to full-bodied, with a great mid-palate, ripe, velvety tannins, and impeccable balance, it's outstanding and will drink nicely for 10-12 years.

80% Grenache, 20% Syrah. 100% destemmed, each variety is fermented separately in concrete tank. Aged for 15 months, the Syrah in old barriques, the Grenache in concrete tank. Tank/cask sample. Tasted blind. Kirsch and dark cherries on the nose. Bright vivid fruit and densely wound fine tannins. Moderate acidity and feels a little tight at the moment. (AC)
