Score 87/100 · Drink 1999-2015, Robert Parker, Aug 1995
Both offerings from Corton (Corton and Corton Les Bressandes) possess plenty of new oak, medium body, and attractive, ripe, sweet black-cherry fruit flavors. The Corton Les Bressandes begins well, but the finish is hard and tough, with a touch of astringency, which could create serious problems during the wine's aging. Cellar it for 4-5 years. If it pulls itself together, it should drink well for 12-15 years. This domaine's 1993s possess the vintage's elevated tannins, tart acidity, and lack of concentration. As a general rule, they are sound wines, but none will be extra special. Importer: Chateau and Estate Wine Co., New York, NY; tel. (212) 572-7725
