Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2027, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2016

The 2014 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes has more intensity than the Goutte d'Or at present, although perhaps not quite the same level of complexity and delineation. The palate is crisp on the entry, harmonious in the mouth, but I was seeking more character and charm to come through on the straight-laced, rather conservative finish. Not bad, but I personally prefer the 2014 La Goutte d'Or this year.
