92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.5% Cabernet Franc, 1.5% Petit Verdot. From Niebaum Lane, Chateau,  Creek North and Garden vineyards. ‘The fall season began with promising rainfall, yet the 2022 vintage ultimately turned out to be drier than expected. Nearly 80% of the year’s precipitation fell before December.’ Harvest 1–30 September. Aged for 18 months in French oak, 48% new. Bottled July 2024. Broad and bloody and a little soft but it’s easy to see the bordeaux/Margaux influence here. Cool finish. Picked relatively early? Muted – non flashy! (JR)

Inglenook's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is darker and denser than the 2022 Rubicon, delivering waves of black cherries and dusty earth. Possessing a more muscular style, boasting more tannin and more extraction, it's medium- to full-bodied, silky and velvety in texture and really does well to avoid any sense of coarseness, although it may not be quite as long on the finish as the Rubicon.

So fruity, fresh and generous, offering plenty of raspberries and red cherries on a sleek texture. Light extraction of color and tannins gives it a rather easy mouthfeel and lets the fruit-forward expression come through. Drink now or hold.
