Sourced from the Trailside Vineyard in Rutherford (these Sauvignon Blanc vines were removed after this vintage), Heitz's 2023 Lot C-91 Blanc features notes of passion fruit and hints of jalapeño but also some riper pear and fig notes. Aged in a combination of barriques and larger-format oak (30% new) for 15 months with regular bâtonnage, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, ripe and well-rounded, showing impressive lushness, particularly on the finish.
