The 2018 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru, aged for 15 months on the lees, has a little more race and tension compared to the Les Clos, more Chablis character. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, and more saline than the Les Clos, with a fresh, marine-tinged finish and a touch of sour lemon and quince on the aftertaste. Excellent.

From an east-facing slope. Aged in oak for 15–18 months. Fleshy and rich on the nose, with a real hit of sweet char too. Thick and rich on the palate, there is a whack of toasty oak but the fruit stands up to it. Full bodied and very generous in style. (TP)
