Score 84/100 · Drink 2009-2019, Robert Parker, Feb 2009

Although this estate is on the up-swing, the 2006 represents a step backward. Sweet cherries are present in this elegant St.-Emilion, but it reveals a distinct herbal, earthy component as well as a lack of concentration, texture, and depth. It should be consumed over the next 6-10 years.

Briary, burnt notes on the nose then strange violet aromas. Certainly very distinctive! Lots of pretty tough but fine tannins and just a slightly lack of freshness of fruit. Characterful though…. (JR)

Bright medium ruby. Precise aromas of wild blackberry and flowers. Juicy, fine-grained and classically dry, with good inner-palate lift to the blackberry, licorice and violet flavors. Finishes juicy and persistent, with slightly chewy tannins.
