1997 ZD Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

Fans of heavily oaked, highly-extracted, in-your-face Cabernet Sauvignons will get a blast from this violently oaky, deep ruby/purple-colored, jammy offering. There is no pretention of "Euro elegance" from ZD, for which we can all be thankful. It is loaded with extract and highly concentrated cassis and new oak. This youthful, unevolved 1997 should unfold easily for 15+ years. While powerful and concentrated, it possesses huge amounts of oak, which should, hopefully, become better integrated in 3-4 years.
