Tasting notes
Bright ruby-red. Captivating, sweet aromas and flavors of cassis, minerals and dark chocolate; slightly liqueur-like. Sweet, lush, broad and fine-grained, with nicely integrated acidity giving energy to the mid-palate. The chocolatey-ripe finish features broad tannins, suave vanillin oak and excellent length. Offers plenty of early sex appeal but has the structure to evolved in bottle for a decade or more.

The 2008 ERA Proprietary Red Wine’s opaque ruby/purple hue is followed by big, sweet aromas of creme de cassis, black cherry liqueur, graphite, earth and spice box. Full-bodied with impressive density, richness and length, it is a powerful, well-balanced, elegant, classic Napa red that should evolve for 15-20 years. This relatively new Rutherford winery continues to turn out impressive wines that merit attention from consumers. Tel. (707) 963-9999; Fax (707) 963-9998
