Tasting notes
Pale salmon-pink, the 2011 L'Ermitage Brut Rosé opens with notes of toast, cantaloupe, red berries and citrus peel with accents of mushroom and a touch of iodine. The palate is medium-bodied with elegant, toasty fruits, finely beaded mousse and a long finish that’s juicy enough to call you in for another sip. This was disgorged in March of 2017 and made with about eight grams per liter dosage.

The 2011 Brut Rosé L'Ermitage is a very pleasant sparkling wine. Exotic, rich and deep, it's quite powerful and overt. The 2011 is fully mature, so I would not push my luck on aging. I don't see this improving from here, but it is outstanding today. Dosage is 10.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: November 2018.
