Tasting notes
The 2014 Red Blend Coach Gun is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Soft contours and plush fruit make the 2014 a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Bold at the outset, the 2014 loses a touch of persistence through the finish, but otherwise, this is very nicely done.

The 2014 Proprietary Red Coach Gun is a Bordeaux blend of 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 20% Malbec and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is a big, whopping wine that I was shocked to see at 15.8% alcohol, as it is not the least bit hot or heavy. Loads of forest floor, dark raspberry, white chocolate and blacker fruits are soft and supple, along with silky tannin and low acidity. This is irresistible already and should continue to drink nicely for 12-15+ years.
