Tasting notes
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Estate Reserve is a more serious, concentrated effort that offers classic cassis and blueberry fruits, hints of spring flowers, graphite, and classy oak. This medium to full-bodied effort has terrific purity, a streamlined, focused texture, good mid-palate depth, and enough structure to keep for 10-15 years.

Made up of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Estate Reserve leaps from the glass with exuberant notions of ripe red and black currants, wild blueberries and cedar chest with fallen leaves, menthol and chocolate box nuances plus a hint of tapenade. Full-bodied and laced with plenty of savory/peppery accents in the mouth, it has a firm, chewy frame and long earth-laced finish.
