Tasting notes
The 2022 Reserve is intense, with crushed ashen stones and dusty herbs complicating dried black cherries and a twang of blood orange. It's texturally thrilling, cool-toned and pliant, with velvety waves of tart red and black fruit that saturate, further enhanced by fine-grained tannins toward the close. Dramatically long and structured, geared toward the cellar, the 2022 leaves hints of licorice and tart blackberry to linger for well up to a minute. This is a beast in need of taming.

Made from a barrel selection of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Malbec, and 6% Petit Verdot, the 2022 Reserve is the producer’s best expression from the appellation every year. Age-worthy, smooth, and seductive, with velvety tannins, it offers nuanced baking spice and earthy, wooden notes amidst a rich, full-bodied core of blackberry coffee cake and distinguished oak. It should have no problem aging another 20-30 years.
