Tasting notes
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Sofia's Vineyard matured for 19 months in 85% new French oak. The nose is bursting with scents of maraschino cherries, dark chocolate, thyme, violet, cast iron and meaty undertones. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and plush with mineral-laced flavors and luxurious, powdery tannins. It’s balanced by soft, juicy acidity and has a long, dynamic finish. Only 83 cases were made.

A more youthful purple hue, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Sofia's Vineyard is brooding and more expressive, with notes of pine, blackcurrants, cedar, menthol, and forest earth. It’s full-bodied and has a more refreshing spine of acidity for the range, with ripe tannins and a mountainous, gravelly feel through the finish. It’s a warming and ripe wine to drink over the next 15 or so years.
