Score 91/100 · Drink 2014-2022, Robert Parker, Apr 2014
The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexis, one of the finest Swanson efforts I have tasted in many years, hits all the sweet spots on the taster’s palate. Tasted from magnum, it offers licorice, plum, black cherry and spicy wood notes, medium to full body and a long, silky finish. Drink it over the next 5-8 years. Tel. (707) 754-4011

Very rich and just short of jammy, it still maintains balance thanks to firm tannins and refreshing acidity. Tar, sandalwood and oak spice add interest to this fruit-driven wine. (LM)
