Score 88/100 · Robert Parker, Feb 1998
The 1995 Chardonnay is similar to the impressive 1996, but the one year of additional age has permitted some of the wine's baby fat to fall away, and it tastes less endowed and fruity than its younger sibling. It should be drunk within 1-2 years. This winery is better-known for its Pinot Noirs, which I thought were intriguing, smoky, tomato-tasting Pinots with a heavy overlay of chocolate. I thought they were average to above average in quality, but not sufficiently interesting or complex enough to merit a recommendation.
