Tasting notes
Bright violet color. Highly perfumed aromas of ripe red fruits and candied flowers, along with suave oak spice and smoky mineral flourishes. Deeply concentrated yet lively as well, offering intense raspberry, cherry preserve, spicecake, vanilla and violet pastille flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. Conveys an impressive blend of power and energy and closes very long and smoky, with supple tannins framing lingering red fruit and spice notes.

Bottled. Mid cherry. Fragrant and nicely dusty. Chewy tannins coating round lovely, pure, juicy red fruit. Scented on the mid palate with a long, fresh finish. Delicious. You could almost approach this now, at the table, but plenty more to come. (JH)
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
