2009 Cosentino Winery M. Coz Meritage

Dark berry aromas lifted by a minty quality. A step up in intensity and depth of flavor from the PureCoz Red Wine, conveying more texture but still a faint herbal edge. Here, too, the dark berry flavors are a bit medicinal and clenched but the wine's longer, somewhat riper finish suggests that it will gain with more bottle age. (14.8% alcohol; this was the first vintage for this label from veteran winemaker Mitch Cosentino)
