Tasting notes
The 2018 Chardonnay Zotovich Vineyard is plush and hedonistic, with rich peach cobbler, marmalade, jasmine and honeycomb aromas and notes of savory brioche. Rich, layered and satiny, the medium-bodied palate offers seamless freshness, ripe but detailed fruit and a very long, flavorful finish.

The 2018 Chardonnay Zotovich Family Vineyard remains a bit of a mystery. It is at once bright and airy, as wines from this site often are, but it is also very tight. I would give it at least another year or two. Readers who can't wait should plan on opening bottles well in advance. Citrus, white flowers, sage and mineral notes are attractive, but I wish the 2018 had a touch more presence in the mid-palate.
