I always love the Syrah from this team, and their 2022 Syrah is ripe and expressive, with ample darker berry fruits, pepper, violets, and gamey nuances, medium body, ripe yet present tannins, and outstanding length. It picks up more spice and cedary, almost Cornas-like nuances with time in the glass, and is a beautiful wine that will keep for a solid decade.

Pride's 2022 Syrah is about half grown on the property—where only north-facing blocks remain—with the balance coming from cool-climate portions of Sonoma, all aged in previously used oak. There's a bit of Viognier (1.5%) co-fermented with whole-cluster Syrah too. The result is an attractive blend of brighter, peppery-herbal notes with deeper meat and blackberry nuances. It's full-bodied on the palate, then both tannic and bright on the finish, without being overly so, giving it a nicely structured feel but remaining immediately accessible.
