The 1995 Zinfandel Oakville Estate raises the level of concentration, offering peppery, briery fruit, along with a classy sweet raspberry richness. The wine is medium-bodied, with more length and flavor dimension than the 1994, a sweet, soft mid-palate and texture, and a succulent, classy, spicy finish. It should drink well for 4-5 years. Tel. Medium red. Raspberry, leather, pepper and caramel oak scents on the nose. Very ripe and silky in the mouth; hint of superripe tomato. Doesn't show the primary black fruit flavors of zinfandel, but finishes with sweet, harmonious tannins.
