Score 87/100 · Drink 2018-2022, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2018
Good dark red. Musky, slightly funky aromas of raspberry, cedar, leather and barnyard. Firmly built, with its dark berry flavors showing good intensity and framing acidity. A bit leathery and rustic on the palate but possesses good energy. This wine is a bit pinched and lacking in give but is still very much alive. Finishes firmly tannic and a bit rigid. (13.3% alcohol)
