Score 90/100 · Drink 2024-2033, Neal Martin, Nov 2023
The 1998 Corton Clos Rognet Grand Cru, poured by Jean-Nicolas Méo himself, shows fresh red berry fruit mixed with briar and light pinecone scents. The palate is a little rustic in style, broad-shouldered yet with adequate freshness. It doesn't have the panache of the Domaine's most outstanding wines, yet it has charm. Drink now and over the next decade.
