Tasting notes
(13.9% alcohol): Bright, full ruby. Vibrant aromas of crushed blackberry, blueberry, minerals and fruity bitter chocolate, complicated by notes of caraway seed and game. Supple and fine-grained but still primary and unevolved. Offers a lovely combination of texture and energy, with the long, echoing finish displaying very suave tannins. Ultimately more concentrated and generous than the basic Oakville bottling. With no hardness, this wine can be enjoyed in 2016 with some aeration

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is just beginning to show the first signs of aromatic nuance. Leather, smoke, tobacco and licorice add attractive shades. This attractive, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon should continue to drink well for another decade-plus.
