The 2014 Chardonnay Peter Martin Ray Vineyard presents a deeper, more phenolic expression of the Santa Cruz Mountains. There is a good bit of depth and richness from the vineyard's position above the fog line, but the wine is done in the classic Ceritas style that prizes freshness and tension. Dried pear, chamomile and wild flowers add the closing shades of nuance.
