Deep ruby. Lively red and dark berry, potpourri and olive aromas expand with air, picking up cracked pepper and mineral nuances. Gently sweet and precise on the palate, offering juicy black currant, cherry and floral pastille flavors and hints of allspice and licorice. The floral note carries through a long, sappy finish shaped by smooth, harmonious tannins. This wine is made from the Gonons’ young Saint-Joseph vines.

Deep ruby. Aromas of red and blue fruit preserves and pungent flowers, along with a bright, spicy topnote. Shows very good focus and lift; fresh black raspberry, boysenberry and violet pastille flavors are given spine by juicy acidity. Closes spicy, subtly sweet and long, with sneaky, fine-grained tannins making a late appearance. In a distinctly elegant style and approachable now; this is great introduction to the Gonon style, at a gentle price.
