Score 87/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

Full ruby-red. Bright, musky aromas of plum, graphite, spicy oak and mint. Very ripe and fairly large-scaled, with slightly medicinal flavors of plum, chocolate, lead pencil and spicy oak. Finishes with sweet, mouthdusting, slightly drying tannins. Turned a bit stewy and tarry with aeration, but this is mouthfilling and sweet.
