The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon checks in as 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet Franc, which was brought up in 71% new French oak. It has a clean, classy, textbook Cabernet Sauvignon nose of ripe currants, loamy earth, leather, and spicy wood. It's nicely balanced, medium-bodied, has a focused, nicely structured mouthfeel, and a great finish. There's not a chance I'd guess it was a 2022 in a blind lineup. Drink bottles any time over the coming 10-12+ years. Drink 2025-2037.

Larkmead's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon (White Label) includes a healthy 18% Cabernet Franc in the blend, which may help to explain the wine's unusually fragrant, floral and even tea-like notes on the nose. They're joined by mixed red and black cherries, as well as red raspberries and a rather weighty oakiness—it did spend 22 months in 71% new French oak. It's full-bodied and nicely ripe on the palate, featuring silky tannins and easy accessibility, plus a lingering, softly dusty and mocha-tinged finish.
