Score 87/100 · Drink 1997-2002, Robert Parker, Aug 1997

An excellent Chianti from the reliable Antinori winery, the 1995 Chianti Classico Badia a Passignano exhibits a healthy dark ruby/garnet color, followed by an attractive smoky, earthy, spice, underbrush-scented nose, medium body, good flesh, and a rich, well-textured and extracted finish. There is sweetness because of the wine's glycerin and suppleness. Drink it over the next 5 years. Importer: Remy Amerique, New York, NY; tel. (212) 399-0200
