Score 94/100 · Drink 2024-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Jun 2024

A saturated black/purple color, the 2021 Malbec Alexander Valley spent 19 months in 50% new French oak and is deep and concentrated in the glass, with notes of blackberry compote, pie spices, violets, and sweet earth. Full-bodied, it retains wonderful balance and freshness, with even acidity, plush tannins, and a long, elegant finish. This lovely wine is hard to resist now but has plenty of longevity ahead. Drink 2024-2034.
