Coming from the B Block of this brilliant vineyard with old vines and aged in 40% new French oak, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard reveals red and black fruits, dried flowers, and some spicy leather and earth nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, with a plush, round, supple mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and the front end-loaded style of the vintage. Drink 2025-2035.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is impeccably done. Soft contours wrap around a core of red-toned fruit, crushed flowers, mint, cedar and French oak. This is a rather understated, soft Cabernet within the context of To Kalon, but its balance is impeccable.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard was picked just before the heatwave, according to winemaker Melissa Paris. Entirely barrel-fermented, it offers up welcoming notes of fine suede, dried spices, dusty loam and black cherries. It's full-bodied, plush, integrated and nearly creamy in texture, but there is a touch of coarseness compared to the 2023, particularly on the finish.
