Tasting notes
From an estate vineyard in the Stags Leap District, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon South Hill Vineyard offers a deeper, richer style in its blackberry, currants, chocolate, and tobacco leaf-like aromas and flavors. With full-bodied richness, it expands nicely on the palate, has ripe, velvety tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's another impeccably made, pure, balanced wine from a team that's turning out seriously good wines.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon South Hill is silky and sensual to the core. Ripe tannins and sweet floral notes give the South Hill a real feeling of finesse. Bright red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal and spice lead into the understated, wonderfully nuanced finish. This is such a pretty wine.
The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon South Hill Vineyard charges out of the gate with notes of blackberry pie, Black Forest cake and crème de cassis plus notions of damp soil, cardamom, bay leaves, charcoal and tobacco leaf. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with lively black fruits, supported by grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing with an herbal lift.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon South Hill is another rich, dense wine in this range. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, new leather, menthol and tobacco all meld together in this heady, potent Cabernet. Deep and vertical with serious concentration, the 2018 has much to offer.
