Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2019

Aged 20 months in 75% new French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Romeo is more masculine, with an herbal edge in its black fruits, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, and crushed rock-like aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and concentrated, it’s a rock solid, incredibly classic 2016 to drink over the coming 15 years as well.

Score 94/100 · Drink 2019-2035, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Oct 2018

Composed of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Romeo is very deep purple-black in color and struts flamboyant notes of fragrant cassis, black cherries and blackberries with loads of earthy accents: truffles, mossy bark, crushed rocks, chargrilled meats plus wafts of iron ore and bay leaves. The palate is full, firm and grainy textured with a lovely refreshing line, packed with earthy layers and finishing on a savory note. 200 cases produced.
