1993 Château de Mont-Redon Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Mont-Redon, which has the most extraordinary vineyard in Chateauneuf du Pape, continues to be satisfied making good to very good, rather than profound wine. The 1992 and 1993 red wine cuvees are both medium-bodied, cleanly made, mainstream, commercial wines. The 1993 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits an attractive, moderately intense, ripe, black fruit personality, accompanied by a weedy, peppery component.
