1995 Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena Home Vineyard

The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena Vineyard exhibits a fragrant, smoky nose of loamy soil scents, underbrush, and ripe, brandy-infused black currants and cherries. This rich wine is full-bodied, with superb density and a lush texture. A beautifully made, complex wine with a terrific mid-palate and length (always signs of high quality), it can be drunk now or cellared for 15+ years. The single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons are part of what Beringer calls their "Vineyard Collection." Produced in 200 case lots, readers expecting to find them sitting on a shelf in their local retail shops will be disappointed, as they are destined to be sold via Beringer's mailing list, or directly from the winery.
